Outback® Pork Ribs

Here's a chance to use
Survival Cooking to make an outstanding meal similar to Outback's pork ribs:

For One Rack of Ribs:

Phase One-Dry Rub: (Makes almost 1 Cup)
¼ Cup Brown Sugar
¼ Cup Paprika
2¼ Tbsp Garlic Powder
2 Tbsp Salt
1 Tbsp Chili Powder
1½ Tsp Cayenne Pepper
1½ Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tsp Dried Oregano
1 Tsp Cumin

Phase Two-Liquid:
¾ Cup Apple Juice
¼ Cup Liquid Smoke

Phase Three-Dry Rub:
¼ Cup Phase One Rub

Phase One
Mix Phase One rub ingredients together, setting ¼ Cup aside for Phase Three. Preheat oven to 250° Generously apply remainder of Rub onto both sides of ribs. Place ribs, meat side up on a broiler pan and bake for 2 hours.

Phase Two
Remove ribs from oven and place meat side down on doubled aluminum foil large enough to completely wrap ribs. Pour Phase Two Liquid over ribs. Wrap ribs and seal tight. Return to oven for 1 hour.

Phase Three
Remove wrapped ribs from oven. Increase the oven temperature to 350°. Remove from foil and apply Phase Three Rub to meat side of ribs and place the ribs back in the oven, uncovered, meat side up for 30 minutes.
