My Favorite BBQ Pork Ribs
Here's a chance to use Survival Cooking to make an outstanding meal of BBQ pork ribs. An easy, good tasting rack of ribs.
INGREDIENTS:
A rack of baby back pork ribs
As much McCormick Pork Rub as you want.
Remove the membrane on the bony side of the ribs. This can be pretty tough to do, but a pair of pliers helps. Coat both sides liberally with the rub. Put in the fridge and leave it there for at least two hours. The longer the better. Overnight is best.
Simple as that.
Once you're ready to get going, fire up the grill and let it get hot. Turn one side off. Put the ribs on that side. Keep the other side medium-high and close the cover. The ribs on the indirect heat side, where the temperature will be about 240° to 280°, will cook in about 1½ hours or so. Use a thermometer and look for 170°. This is the way I like them. No BBQ sauce at all. The meat falls off the bones. The rub adds huge taste.
