Starting from the center, at the bottom of the picture, the almost round pond is the southern most major pond in the park. It's also my favorite. Even though it's the nearest to the driving entrance to the park, there are usually the fewest people around here. For some perspective, I'd guess that the diameter of this pond is about two hundred fifty-three feet. Moving northwest just a little is the largest of the three major ponds. There is almost always a large number of birds around here. The culvert, in a thought I wrote, is between the round pond and the big pond. To the west of the northern tip of the big pond is the boat ramp for Lake Seminole, which is (obviously) on the left. Just about due east of the boat ramp is the walk in gate I use for access to the park. A little further north is a scallop shell shaped pond that is in the center of the one-mile portion of the recreation trail. The rest of the trail (total two miles) goes north from there. Our house is just little south of east from the southern tip of the scallop shaped pond. As you can see, it's pretty handy to the park.
